While he walked the earth, Jesus made the kingdom of God real through concrete acts of justice: feeding people, freeing them from various forms of bondage, embracing those excluded by the systems of his day, and calling his followers to a life of faithfulness to God.
A committment to serving those in need is a mission of the congregation of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Under the auspices of its Social Ministry Committee, Holy Trinity is committed to ministries through service, advocacy, and monetary donations. Many of these ministries are related; all revolve around the intertwined issues of hunger and homelessness, peace and justice, and refugee and asylee support and advocacy. These are the ways in which the Holy Trinity congregation tries to meets its commitment.
