Tell It Slant

The Tell It Slant adult Sunday school class reads and discusses non-fiction faith-related books selected by the class. Recently the class read and discussed "Jesus Before Christianity," by Albert Nolan. Anyone who enjoys reading and discussing their thoughts with others is cordially invited to attend. We meet in Room 313 on Sundays between 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. The name of the class comes from a poem by Emily Dickinson:

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant —
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise

As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind —
