Youth Ministry

Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome to our youth group! We meet every Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm. There is also Sunday school for middle and high school youth every Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45 am. Everything we do during youth group and Sunday school builds faith, fellowship, and knowledge of the Scriptures in our youth.

Some of the activities that the youth do during the year are:

Friday Night Hangouts
High School Family Hosted dinners
Organizing and participating in the annual Youth Sunday
Going on mission trips
Attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering and other regional gatherings
Attending LYO events
Serving meals at shelters
Participating in CROP Walk and the Agape Hike-a-Thon
Participating in the 30 Hour Famine
Attending summer camp
Going on retreats for camping, skiing, and beach fun
Raising money for Christmas gifts for children in need
Christmas caroling

Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry includes activities and events for children from birth through grade five and their families, including Children’s Library, Hungry Souls’ Café, and the Pickle Jar Offering during the Children’s Message in support of the Urban Ministries food pantry. Other activities include the Valentine’s tea with children and seniors of the congregation, an Easter egg hunt, Summer Sunday Church School program, family potluck, annual pool party, Blessing of the Animals, Trunk or Treat, Christmas cookie swap, and the children’s choir.
