A Vibrant Congregation near Raleigh’s Cameron Village...

Holy Trinity is a special place. A community of faith where all are invited to encounter Jesus, it is the “mother” Lutheran church of the Triangle region, with a history dating to 1911. Its worship services are built around a traditional liturgy, and the church enjoys a dedicated membership and many special traditions. Building on its history, Holy Trinity seeks to boldly follow Christ into the twenty-first century by:

  • welcoming all to a relationship with Jesus.
  • nurturing faith in and dependence on God.
  • showing care and love for those in pain.
  • sending people into the world empowered to do extraordinary things.

Located near Cameron Village and N.C. State University in the West Raleigh Historic District, Holy Trinity's congregation is a diverse mix of college students, young adults, families, and older couples. Its membership includes neighborhood residents and those from all over the Triangle, people new to the area and life-long members, and those wearing suits and ties and those more comfortable in casual attire.

Holy Trinity is a socially active church with strong youth programs, varied adult study options, and many groups serving all ages and diverse interest areas. The congregation is especially active in service outreach to those in the Raleigh area and beyond who are homeless, hungry, and in need.

So, who are we? We are a people who believe in grace and seek to make real the love which was taught and shown by Jesus. We are a church that believes that God gives forgives us and always welcomes us back.

We invite you to discover for yourself who we are.

The membership of Holy Trinity believes that through our baptism in Christ we are called by Jesus to be agents of reconciliation and healing within our society. We welcome and share Christ’s love with all people without regard to age, race, ethnicity, gender identities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, physical ability, family status, or mental ability.

Out of a broken and divided world all people are welcomed into the body of Christ at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
