Palm/Passion Sunday
On Sunday, April 13, we will worship with two services in the Sanctuary at 8:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. where we will hear the Passion according to Matthew’s Gospel. Readers from the congregation will read this narrative from the early shouts of “Hosanna” to the later shouts of “Crucify.”

Maundy Thursday (April 17) is the day we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. There will be services of Holy Communion at noon in the Fellowship Hall and at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The evening service will include individual absolution and foot-washing. As the service ends we will strip the altar to prepare for the starkness of Good Friday.

Good Friday (April 18). We remember the day of Christ’s death on the cross. At 4:00 p.m. we will hold a Children’s Good Friday Service in the Sanctuary where they will hear the story and walk with him as they carry the cross around the church. At 7:00 p.m. we come together in the bare church to hear the last words of Jesus on the cross in a Tenebrae Service. We will leave in silence or remain to pray in the darkened Sanctuary.

Easter Vigil (April 19). At 8:00 p.m. we gather outside the Gethsemane Chapel (Brooks Street side) around a new fire as we celebrate one of the oldest liturgies in the history of the church. We will hear the salvation history and share prayers as we move into the joy of resurrection. We will all affirm our baptismal promises around the font. Then we will share the first communion of Easter and leave proclaiming that Christ is Risen!

The Resurrection of Our Lord
Easter Sunday (April 20) is the most holy and joy-filled day of the Christian year. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Join us at the 8:15 a.m. worship service as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. You are invited to share in the Easter Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30 a.m. The children will have an egg hunt at 10:00 a.m. The second service of worship will be at 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.

Sunday Morning Worship

On Sundays we worship in a contemporary service at 8:15 a.m. and in a traditional service at 11:00 a.m. Please join us! A nursery is provided for children aged three weeks to four years.

Wednesday Morning Worship

On Wednesdays we worship in the Gethsemane Chapel (on the level under the sanctuary) at 7:00 a.m. with a brief service that includes Holy Communion. Following this service, there is a Bible Study in which the readings for the following Sunday are discussed. Visitors are welcomed at the services and at the Bible Study!

Classes for study are offered on Sunday mornings and at various times during the week. All are cordially invited!

Images of Holy Trinity

Out of a broken and divided world
all people are welcomed into the body of Christ
at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

We affirm with the Apostle Paul that in Christ "there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male or female: for all of you are one in Jesus Christ." (Galatians 3:28)

Through our baptism in Christ, we are called by Jesus to be agents of reconciliation and healing within our society. We therefore welcome and share Christ's love with all people without regard to age, race, ethnicity, gender identities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, physical ability, family status, or mental ability.
